College Audition Preparation Workshop I and II 2009

CAP I  Grades 10-12

CAP I is for brass, percussion, and woodwind players who are planning  to apply for entrance to college music programs.

CAP II  Post-high school students over the age of 18

CAP II is open to all post high school students over the age of 18.  The focal point of CAP II is the development of all types of auditions (competitions, placement, graduate school, professional, etc.) and utilizes the high level of expertise of the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music Faculty for preparation and general growth.


Maximum of eight students available for each

faculty member and/or instrument.

              Every effort will be made to accommodate those who  

         apply after the studio maximum has been met.

 

Only full payment will secure your position.
 

Each CAP I student is to bring solos/materials that they believe to be suitable for college auditions. A study of college websites will provide lists of commonly required music.

During the workshop, teachers may suggest repertoire revisions as they see appropriate.

Percussion students attending CAP should be prepared to play a solo on snare drum, marimba and timpani.
