Brass

The IU School of Music has comprehensive teaching and performing programs in brass instruments, including the euphonium, horn, trombone, trumpet, and tuba. The Department of Brass faculty includes many internationally known performers who have a commitment to teaching and artistic excellence. In addition to individual studio time with a brass faculty member, students benefit from frequent master classes by faculty members as well as well-known guest artists in various brass instruments. Students have opportunities to participate in competitions sponsored by the School of Music, as well as regional and national competitions. Graduates can be found in a wide variety of positions, including teaching, performance, and music-related fields.
