Students from around the world come to Bloomington to study guitar at the IU Jacobs School of Music, where they have private lessons with world renowned faculty.
In addition to studying classical guitar, students have opportunities to explore other musical genres through School of Music programs in Latin American
music, jazz, early music, and new music. IU music students in guitar consistently win many major prizes in international compositions, including 20 in the
past eight years.
