Audio Technology (Recording Arts)

Students can earn a bachelor's degree or an associate degree in recording arts through the IU School of Music Department of Recording Arts. Graduates of the program are prepared for careers in music recording; audio post-production for CD, DVD, television, and film; and live sound. With an emphasis on hands-on production, all courses in audio technology include a significant lab component in which students gain experience in all aspects of audio production. Advanced students complete individual projects in the recording studios and serve as producers and engineers on CD projects sponsored by the university.
