Robert Charles Benirschke Saint John, Indiana
A dancer since age 14, Robert Benirschke chose IU so he could pursue his interest in ballet and receive a well-rounded university education. He is working toward bachelor’s degrees in ballet performance and chemistry. Benirschke says, “I think the caliber of ballet students this school attracts is its greatest asset. You need gifted peers in order to push yourself harder.” He will join the Louisville Ballet corps as an apprentice next year.
