Graduate Student LifeAs a graduate student at the Jacobs School of Music you will find yourself immersed in music of all kinds. Students from all over the United States and world come to the Jacobs School of Music to pursue education in music. The comprehensive nature of the Jacobs School of Music programs allow students to further develop and grow into a life in music. Jacobs graduate students have the opportunity to take a myriad of music classes taught by leading pedagogues and performers. Students also enjoy and benefit from mentoring and close working relationships with faculty and learn and enjoy support from their peers. The Jacobs School of Music offers more than 1,100 performances annually which include a variety of numerous musical events to attend throughout the school year. Beyond the Jacobs School of Music, you'll find a lively arts scene throughout the campus and the Bloomington community, including theater, visual arts, and local musicians performing in area venues.
