Undergraduate Student LifeAs an undergaduate student at the Jacobs School of Music you will find yourself immersed in music of all kinds. Students from all over the United States and the world come to the Jacobs School of Music to pursue education in music. The comprehenseive nature of the the Jacobs School of Music programs allow students to develop and grow into a life in music. Each student receives a weekly lesson with a faculty member. Studio sizes average 16 to 18 students and have weekly master classes in which students can perform, learn, and be supported by faculty and fellow students. In addition to lessons, each student has the opportunity to take advantage of a myraid of music classes taught by leading pedagogues and performers. There are more than 1100 performances annually which include a variety of numerous musical events to attend throughout the school year. Beyond the Jacobs School of Music, you will find a lively arts scene throughout the campus and the Bloomington community, including theater, visual arts, and local musicians performing in area venues.
