Andrew Hopson. Assistant Professor of Theater and Drama, Adjunct Professor of Music
Andrew Hopson is a sound designer and composer for stage, CD and film. Andrew received his B.A. in history from Grinnell College, his M.M. in composition from Butler University and his PhD. in composition from the University of Minnesota. In theatre he has scored or designed shows at such theatres as the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, Utah Shakespearean Festival, Actors Theatre of Louisville, American Repertory Theatre, Milwaukee Rep, Cincinnati Playhouse, Victory Gardens, Harvard University and the Indiana Repertory Theatre, where he was resident sound designer for five years. In 2004 he had his New York debut with Trying which was rated one of the best Off-Broadway shows of the year. As a musician, recording engineer and producer, he has released over 30 CD’s ranging from Baroque chamber works to books on tape. Recently, he composed music for the films Utah's Olympic Legacy, Hockey’s Greatest Era 1942-1967 and The Birth of Legends. His wife Amanda is the head of the Piano program at DePauw University, and his daughter Maggie controls his every waking moment.

Wayne Jackson. Associate Professor of Music
Wayne Jackson has served as sound designer for IU Opera Theater productions including Bernstein's Mass, Nixon in China, and numerous others, and pioneered programs for audio production at Indiana University.

Konrad Strauss. Chair, Associate Professor of Music
Konrad Strauss was a staff engineer at Chicago Recording Company and served as chief engineer for Classic Digital Inc, a classical music production company. Recording projects have included records for the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, New York Philharmonic, Seattle Symphony, Indianapolis Symphony, Teldec, Atlantic Records, Geffen Records, RCA Red Seal, Koch Classics, New World Records and many others. Mr. Strauss has also recorded artists such as Itzhak Perlman, Daniel Barenboim and Suzanne Mentzer. Studio work has included projects for the Cirque du Soleil, Mannheim Steamroller, and Dave Brubeck; television commercials for United Airlines, McDonalds, and Allstate; and television soundtracks for ABC, and CBS, and HBO. As a mastering engineer, Mr. Strauss specialized in indie rock for labels such as Drag City, Touch and Go, Kranky, and Thrill Jockey. His recordings have won numerous awards including Grammys for best chamber music record and Best Gospel record, a Hugo award for best children's programming, and accolades from publications such as Fanfare, Gramophone, American Record Guide, and Stereophile.

Michael Stucker. Lecturer in Recording Arts
Michael Stucker has developed and teaches the sequence of electronics courses for the Recording Arts degree program. He has also developed and teaches courses in in multitrack studio recording and advanced digital workstation techniques. Stucker also serves as technical enginee John Mellencamp's private recording studio and for Echo Park Studios. He is also an active recording engineer with credits in television, theatrical productions, and live sound design in addition to many genres of music recording. He has worked on recording projects with work Beaux Arts Trio, John Mellencamp, Howie Day, Eddie Kramer, Over the Rhine, Tori Amos, Stoll Vaughan, Bands of America, Third Watch (NBC), PBS, Robert Mirabal, Blast!, Don Gehman, David Thoener, Jason Wilber, Superchunk, and many others.
