Amy Kaiser is the Director of the Saint Louis Symphony Chorus. Ms. Kaiser also appears as a guest conductor with the SLSO, the Berkshire Choral Festival, the Santa Fe Symphony, and the Metropolitan Opera Guild.
Principal Conductor of the New York Chamber Symphony's School Concert Series for seven seasons, Ms. Kaiser also conducted regularly for the 92nd Street Y's acclaimed Schubertiade and appeared as a guest conductor with New York area orchestras, including the New Jersey Symphony and the Little Orchestra Society. Ms. Kaiser has conducted more than twenty-five operatic productions for companies including the Berkshire Opera, the Opera Ensemble of New York, and Italy's Opera Barga; for the past six season she has led more than fifty performances with the Metropolitan Opera Guild, including performances of The Barber of Seville, Don Pasquale, and Gianni Schicchi. With the Saint Louis Symphony she has conducted performances of Handel's Messiah, works by Haydn and Mozart at Classics in the Loop, and Young People's Concerts as well. Prior to her St. Louis appointment, Ms. Kaiser was Music Director of the Dessoff Choirs in New York and a faculty member at Manhattan School of Music and the Mannes College of Music.
