The Music in General Studies Program celebrates the essential and enriching role music plays in the lives of students across the University.

Course offerings cover a wide range of musical styles, cultures and eras, and are designed for all students, regardless of musical background or training.

 

In the news:

On October 7th, Aida Huseynova performed at the recital of Turkish music at the Indiana University Art Museum on the occasion of the visit of the Honorable Mr. Kenan Ipek, the Consul General of the Republic of Turkey.

Connie Cook Glen has received her second ArtsWeek grant for the 2010 ArtsWeek celebrations.

Glenn Gass will give a public lecture "Words on the Beatles" preceding the performance of RAIN.  It will be 7:00 in Woobburn 100 on October 16 and is co-sponsored by WFIU and the IU Auditorium.  In addition, Glenn has recently been featured on WFIU and Part II of his 2004 "Profile" will be rebroadcast this Sunday at 7 p.m. (Part I was last week).
