Undergraduate

School of Music Scholarships are available.  All auditioning and interviewing students will be considered for a music scholarship.  Click here for further information on applying for School of Music Scholarships.

Government financial aid is available to qualified students as grants, work-study, and guaranteed student loans.  Click here for applications for need-based financial aid.  Also contact the Office of Student Financial Assistance, Franklin Hall 208, Indiana University, Bloomington, IN  47405, (812) 855-0321.

Honors Division Scholarships are available to freshmen with superior academic records.  Contact the Honors Division, 324 North Jordan, Indiana University, Bloomington, IN  47405, (812) 855-3555.

Graduate

Graduate Fellowships which carry stipends are available on a competitive basis.  Music Education graduate students may also apply for positions as Graduate Assistants and Associate Instructors (teaching assistants) in the following areas:
*  Fundamentals of Music
*  Music Methods
*  Introduction to Music Education
*  Instrumental Techniques
*  Marching and Concert Band
*  Supervision of Student Teaching
*  Pre-college Music Programs (Young Winds)
*  Student teaching supervision

Associate Instructorship awards are based on teaching experience, academic record, and admissions interview.

Assistantships and Instructorships carry a yearly stipend and fee remission for in-state or out-of-state rates.  Doctoral students who qualify can expect three years of financial aid.  Master's students can expect one year of financial aid. 

Recommendations for financial aid are made by April 15th for the following academic year.
