Symposium Information

The Indiana University Graduate Theory Association’s Twelfth Biennial Music Theory Symposium was held February 8-9, 2002, on the Bloomington campus of Indiana University. The keynote speaker for this year’s conference was Dr. Jonathan Kramer, professor of music theory and composition at Columbia University. He presented a paper entitled “Further Thoughts on Meter and Hypermeter.”

Location: The symposium took place at Ford Recital Hall, located just off the south stairwell of the Simon Music Center at Indiana University. The Simon Center is located at the corner of Third Street and Jordan Avenue; click here for a dynamic map showing its location.
Free parking is available at the Jordan Garage after 5:00 p.m. on Friday and through the weekend. The Jordan Garage is also visible on the dynamic map.
