Dr. Wittlich has published books and articles on music analysis, music theory pedagogy, and on computer applications in music research and instruction. He has been President of the Society for Music Theory, Board Member for Music Theory of the College Music Society, Chair of the Committee of Examiners of the GRE Revised Music Exam for the Educational Testing Service. He is Director of the College Music Society's Center for Professional Development in Music Technology.
