Scholarships
UNDERGRADUATE AWARDS
Each undergraduate applicant is considered for a
merit-based scholarship at the time of audition.
GRADUATE AWARDS
Students working toward a graduate degree or diploma
will be considered automatically for Associate
Instructorships (AI), Graduate Assistantships (GA),
Graduate Scholarships, and Fellowships at the time of
audition. A separate application is not necessary. All
awards are competitive and based on the strength of the
audition and academic record. Teaching experience is
also considered for AI awards. AI and GA awards consist
of tuition and stipend for a maximum of 18 credit hours
of graduate courses per year. All awards are renewable
on a yearly basis.
GRADUATE FELLOWSHIPS
Students who score high in the audition are eligible
for Graduate Fellowships if they have a
GPA of 3.75 or higher.

• Presser Foundation Music Award $5,000
• Richard F. Gold Career Grant $2,500
• Various Fellowship & Scholarship Awards$1,000 to
$3,000
*These awards can be used to
supplement any other scholarship or award.
† This award amount includes a non-resident fee
remission and requires teaching or administrative duties
(the total value awarded to in-state students may be
less than this amount).
