The American Composers Forum School Membership Program

In 2007, Indiana University's Composition Department took part in an unprecedented school membership pilot program with two national organizations known for promoting new music - the American Music Center and the American Composers Forum. Through this program, every faculty member and student within IU's Composition Department, joined two vibrant communities of artists and professionals that provides their members with a wide range of significant benefits and essential services of each organization. This program serves as a vital link between academic life and a career in music connecting schools and students with composers, performers, educators, industry professionals, and patrons. In 2011 AMC merged with Meet The Composer to form New Music USA, but this school membership program continues today with the ACF. Upon enrollment into IU's Composition program, each new and current student automatically has complete access to all the membership benefits offered.
