YOUR FUTURE

MetaMusic is a new startup company seeking to fill paid internships. The company's focus is on musical accompaniment systems which provide audio accompaniment for a live musician through real-time score following and sound synthesis. Examples of the program in action can be seen here. They are currently looking for interns to help in the preparation of new literature for the program, known as Cadenza. Interns will use a program to "interactively align audio recordings with corresponding scores, sometimes involving corrections and additions to the scores. The process requires good listening skills, familiarity with Sibelius, non-programming computer skills, and attention to detail." "The internships will pay $12/hour, flexibility in hours and location, and approx 10 hours a week anticipated. Interested candidates should contact Prof. Christopher Raphael.
