It gives us great pleasure to invite you to the 2009/2010 Indiana University Opera and Ballet Theater Season.

In September, our Opera Series opens with Rossini’s comedic L’Italiana in Algeri, followed by Gounod’s classic Roméo et Juliette and a new production of W. A. Mozart’s masterwork, Die Zauberflöte (The Magic Flute). Spring 2010 commences with Donizetti’s tragic Lucia di Lammermoor and a new production of Puccini’s La Rondine (The Swallow). To close this exciting year of opera, we present Bernstein’s timeless West Side Story.

We eagerly anticipate the IU Ballet Theater Series: Diaghilev Tribute, Tchaikovsky’s The Nutcracker, and An American Evening.

By renewing your subscription, or starting a new one, you can enjoy the best seats in the house. In addition, you’ll receive the benefits of free ticket exchanges (subject to upgrade fees, if any), the privilege to renew your seats from season to season, and free lost ticket replacement. You also will be able to buy single tickets to any production before they go on sale to the general public.

And, new this year, combine the Opera Series and the Ballet Series into a Full Season subscription and receive an additional discount off the already significant savings!

Thank you for your support and patronage. We look forward to you joining us!

Sincerely,

Gwyn Richards
