Ways to Give
RELATED PAGES
Thank you for your interest in the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music. Giving to the Jacobs School of Music-and specifying how you want your gift to be used-can be done in a number of ways, such as:
Annual Gifts
Join the Dean's Circle
Partners in the Dean's Circle play a vital role in this community, helping to ensure the IU Jacobs School of Music's preeminence in the performing arts.
Sometimes an opportunity comes along that hasn't been planned for or anticipated. Click here to learn how annual gifts to the Dean's Circle provide that important support to be used for those opportunities that we hadn't expected, but which make the difference for the Jacobs School of Music.
Endowed Gifts
An endowed gift exists in perpetuity, may be named for the donor or someone the donor wishes to honor, and can ensure enduring support for the university and its students and faculty.
Other Endowed Support
Gifts to the Operation of the Jacobs School of Music
The Jacobs School of Music, like conservatories across the United States, faces significant economic challenges in maintaining the quality of its operation. While costs continue to rise, we do not expect significant increases in either appropriations from the state, or from tuition revenue in the foreseeable future.
To complement support from the state, we are turning to the private sector. The bulk of our endowment is directed toward scholarships, although a number of chairs have recently been pledged. The school, therefore, runs an annual campaign to seek gifts that are not restricted for specific purposes, but are designated to be used at the discretion of the dean in the best interests of the school. Such monies can take a variety of forms-from annual gifts to endowed unrestricted funds. With imagination, and the support of our friends, the possibilities are limitless.
