There were more than
200 entries from 9 area schools and homeschools for Kids
Compose! this
year!
The IU
Jacobs School of Music Composition Department selected 8 of the entries as winners.
These eight melodies will be arranged by students in the IU Jacobs
School of Music composition department into four compositions. Two
melodies will be combined for each of the four compositions - two
for the MAC Orchestra concert for MCCSC Schools on November 14, and
two for the MAC Band concert for MCCSC Schools on March 5, 2008.
The names and grades
of the young composers whose melodies were selected and performance
dates are:
