University of Arizona School of Music and School of Dance with
cooperation from the Center for Latin American Studies, the Department
of Spanish and Portuguese, and the Department of History. Thursday, Friday and Saturday, Jan. 20-22, 2011, at UA School of Music Building, 1017 N. Olive Street. Registration for the complete symposium, including lectures, Sat. lunch and concerts is $60; $25.00 for students; Zarzuela performance only (Friday, Jan. 23, 7:30 p.m.): $9 general, $7 UA employees and seniors 55+, $5 students.

Call for Applications: Bang on a Can Summer Music Festival. The US contemporary music organization, Bang on a Can, would love your help with outreach for our Summer Music Festival at MASS MoCA, a 3-week residency for composers and performers of contemporary music. Please help us spread the word to composers and performers in your musical network, especially those that are in the early stages of their careers. Applications are online now and are due January 17, 2011.
