Recording Competition 2013-3rd Edition Winner
The Latin American Music Center at Indiana University announces
the results of the
Second Latin American Music Recording Competition 2013
The Latin American Music Center is pleased to announce that cellist Nicholas Mariscal is the winner of the third Latin American Music Recording Competition. Mariscal is a junior studying cello with Professor Eric Kim.
He will record a professional CD, fully produced by the LAMC and will perform a full concert at the winner's recital next February, 28th, at 8 p.m. in Auer Hall. This year’s competition included a total of three proposals. Their repertoire selections included music from Argentina, Brazil, Cuba, and Venezuela.The LAMC honors the work that the students put into preparing for this year's competition, and congratulates the students on their high level of preparedness and artistry.
