Sets and Costumes: SUNY/PurchaseLes Noces is one of the masterpieces of 20th-century ballet because of the architectural dignity of Nijinska’s invention and the extraordinary rhythmic complexity by which she reflects the intricacies of Stravinsky’s score for four pianists, percussion, and singers.

Stravinsky’s Les Noces is one of the most influential and difficult choral-instrumental works of the 20th century. This performance has been prepared from the piano-vocal score and handbook by visiting professor Richard Tang Yuk. We are grateful for his generous permission to use these materials.
