A summer program for intermediate and advanced ballet dancers
Session 1: June 1-7, 2014
Session 2: June 8-14, 2014
Session 3: June 15-21, 2014
This is an ideal opportunity to become acquainted with the beautiful campus of Indiana University as well as experience individual instruction by department chair Michael Vernon.
Session I, Session II, and Session III will be devoted to working on ballet technique and learning choreography, both existing and new.
The mornings will consist of technique classes including pointe and men's classes. The afternoons will comprise of variation classes, repertoire classes, pilates and jazz classes. Talks will be given by Jacobs School of Music faculty on music appreciation for ballet. In addition, choreography will be offered in both sessions.
Session I, Session II, and Session III will each end with an informal presentation open to friends and family which will be attended by faculty members from that week's Session.
