Spring Recital- May 2, 2015
January 20 - May 2, 2015
The Indiana University Pre-College Ballet Department is looking forward to an exciting Spring!
Information about each ballet class can be found by clicking the “Class Offerings” link on the left of this page.
A staple of the Bloomington community and Southern Indiana counties for over 25 years, the mission of the Pre-College Ballet Program is to educate and train students in the art of classical ballet while inspiring an appreciation of music and movement. We offer classes to both pre-professional and recreational dancers.
The Program offers Creative Movement, Introduction to Ballet, and beginner through advanced levels of Ballet classes. We also offer pointe and variations classes to advanced level students.
Students of the Pre-College Ballet Program further develop through learning and performing original choreography as well as studying excerpts from the classical ballet repertoire.
Students have the opportunity to perform in Indiana University Ballet Theater's annual production of "The Nutcracker" (ages 7-18). All students perform in the annual Pre-College Ballet Workshop at the end of each Spring semester which is presented at the Musical Arts Center. In the near future, we will be performing throughout community venues as well as in other Jacobs School of Music performances.
We welcome you to the Pre-College Ballet Program and look forward to getting to know each and every one of you.
