Class Offerings

Participate with your child, ages 1 to 4 years old, in singing, chanting, moving, dancing, listening, and playing simple instruments (shakers, jingles, small drums, and rhythm sticks), while developing a strong musical bond with your child. Through activities that bridge the natural connection between music and movement, your child's musical aptitude and listening abilities are enhanced and further developed. Classes are designed to build attention and self-expression and include singing, chanting, moving, focused listening, musical games, exploring musical instruments, creative movement, and storytelling. Parents of toddlers stay for the entire class. Parents of 3 and 4 year-olds may stay for the class or join in for the last ten minutes of class.
Music for Toddlers
This is a class for 1-3 year olds. The class helps children experience the world around them through singing, movement, listening, playing, and creating music. Children will have an opportunity to play simple musical instruments (rhythms sticks, drums, tone bars, and shakers), engage in listening games, sing songs, and learn simple dances. Parents will be able to watch their children’s musical growth, expand their child’s musical repertoire, and learn activities to do at home.
The Cycle of Seasons
This is a class for 3-4 year olds at the start of the semester. Children work on skills in singing, movement, listening, playing instruments (rhythms sticks, drums, tone bars, and shakers), and musical vocabulary. Through music and movement, children will go on many adventures as they explore the seasons.

Music for Toddlers: a CD, a book of songs used in class and a pair of finger cymbals.
The Cycle of Seasons: two CDs, a book of songs used in the class and illustrated animal cards.
