DAVID BAKER WINS AN EMMY!
Congratulations to David Baker for his recent receipt of an Emmy Award. Baker won the Emmy for his score of the PBS film "For Gold and Glory" about race-car drive Charles Wiggins. The composer was presented with the golden statue a few months ago, during ceremonies hosted by the Cleveland chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.

UPCOMING EVENTS

The next two weeks brings the opening of A View from the Bridge, the first collegiate production of a work by Pulitzer Prize-winning composer William Bolcom (Bolcom will be here for a master class and pre-production Informances). But that's just the start! With a  performance of all Beethoven violin sonatas by Frederico Agostini and Evelyne Brancart, the First Annual New Voice Educator's Symposium, computer music, early music, a performance by the Chamber Orchestra, Jazz Ensemble, Symphonic Band, and much more, there is something for all to enjoy!

ARTS WEEK

Indiana University and the Bloomington community have been working together to create special arts showcases for over 20 years in this truly remarkable celebration. This year’s Arts Week honors the process behind the product.
