IU Opera Theater’s magnificent 2005-2006 season comes to a shattering and memorable close when Carmen takes the stage tonight, tomorrow night, and next Friday and Saturday evenings. The unprecedented Mozart Marathon presents the master’s complete sonatas for piano and violin April 8, while Pro Arte and the Symphony Orchestra give stirring performances April 9. Don’t miss the hot rhythms of the Percussion Ensemble, with Hollywood legend Emil Richards, and Jazz Ensemble April 10. The Concert and Symphonic Bands join forces April 11, with the Jazz Combo that day also. Other can’t-miss performances include the University Orchestra April 12, the EMI’s Chamber Music Recital and New Music Ensemble April 13, and Ernesto Bitetti’s Guitar Class Recital April 14.
