Les Contes d'HoffmannFantastical tales of love lost and inspiration found will delight Indiana University Opera Theater audiences April 4, 5, 11 and 12 at the Musical Arts Center. SlatkinCelebrate this first weekend of spring with two outstanding Jacobs School events: the Spring Ballet is at the MAC Friday and Saturday night, and Leonard Slatkin conducts the IU Philharmonic Orchestra with pianist Michel Camilo on Sunday at the IU Auditorium. Brian Horne, Edwin Penhorwood, and Craig Bate will perform a Faculty Recital on Monday, followed by David Baker swinging with the Jazz Ensemble the same night. More jazz is on tap Tuesday as Steve Houghton directs the Jazz Combo Concert, after David Ward-Steinman presents a Faculty Recital earlier in the evening.
