IU OPERA THEATER PRESENTS COLLEGIATE PREMIERE OF THE LIGHT IN THE PIAZZA

Light in the PiazzaIU Opera Theater's collegiate premiere of the Tony Award-winning musical The Light in the Piazza (by Adam Guettel) will be guest conducted by Broadway veteran Dan Riddle, the associate conductor of the original hit Broadway show. Tickets are on sale now at the Musical Arts Center for the July 31 and Aug. 1, 7 and 8 performances. >>Click here for more.

JACOBS ALUMNA ANGELA BROWN RECEIVES GOVERNOR'S ARTS AWARD

Gov. Mitch Daniels and the Indiana Arts Commission announced July 10 that Jacobs School of Music alumna Angela Brown is among the recipients of the 2009 Governor's Arts Awards. The five recipients will be honored during a special performance ceremony on Sept. 25, 2009, at the Cornerstone Center for the Arts in Muncie.

JACOBS ALUMNA BRINGS MISS INDIANA CROWN BACK TO IU

Nicole PollardJacobs School of Music alumna Nicole Pollard was crowned Miss Indiana on June 27. She captured the contest's runner-up title the previous two years after Jacobs alumna soprano Betsy Uschkrat held the crown in 2006. >>Click here for more.
