VIOLIN LEGEND JOSEF GINGOLD REMEMBERED IN 100TH BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION THIS SUNDAY

JamesA celebration befitting the centennial birthday of one of the greatest violinists and violin pedagogues of all time, Josef Gingold, will be presented Nov. 1 at 8 p.m. at the Indiana University Auditorium. Joshua Bell and Jaime Laredo will be among the featured artists. The concert is free and open to the public. A number of tickets will be released right before the concert, and a standby line that begins at 5:00 p.m. before the show will be honored on a first-come first-served basis. >>Click here for more.

IU AUDITORIUM WELCOMES HOME JACOBS ALUMNUS DENNIS JAMES FOR HALLOWEEN CONCERT TONIGHT!

JamesJacobs School alumnus Dennis James returns to IU Auditorium for his annual Halloween organ performance, this year accompanying Alfred Hitchcock's thriller Blackmail, Oct. 29, at 8 p.m. Audience members who arrive by 7:30 p.m. will be eligible to compete in the B97-sponsored costume contest in the categories of "Scariest Costume," "Most Creative Costume" and "Best Overall." >>Click here for more.

JACOBS PROFESSOR OF TROMBONE FEATURED ON POPULAR RUBANK METHOD CDS
Lenthe

Carl Lenthe, Jacobs professor of trombone, is the featured soloist on two newly released CDs contained in H. Voxman’s Concert and Contest Collection, featuring the Rubank Method--one for trombone and one for baritone horn, both with piano accompaniment. In addition, Kimberly Carballo, interim head opera coach at the Jacobs School, is one of the featured pianists on the trombone CD. >>Click here for more.

Romeo and JuliettThe Jacobs School of Music and the Kelley School of Business's Johnson Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation are working in partnership to develop an entrepreneurial perspective for the next generation of musical leaders.
