As the cornerstone of this year's IU Opera Theater season and the 2006 ArtsWeek celebration, we anticipate this world premiere by Indiana-born, world-renowned composer with much excitement. Based on Thornton Wilder's 1938 Pulitzer-prize winning play Our Town, the timeless story questions the way we live our lives without appreciating or sharing the simpler moments, and it challenges us to appreciate the joys in everyday life. The informal, compelling, and timeless drama provides a new platform for one of the most appealing composers alive today.
