Set in Latin Quarter, Paris, about 1890

One of the most popular works in all of opera, with dazzling new sets, costumes, and stage direction from IU Opera Theater.

Every note in this masterpiece has a purpose, never failing to touch the heart and move the emotions. Love is often found in the least likely of places. Mimi, a seamstress, brings that love to the apartment of four poor friends one cold Christmas Eve. Join in the story of four Bohemians–Rodolfo the poet, Marcello the painter, Colline the philosopher, and Schaunard the musician–and their exciting friends as they learn lessons of life, love, and loss. Accompanied by Puccini's brilliantly beautiful score, one cannot help but be filled with abundant joy, great humor, and profound tenderness.

Sung in Italian with English supertitles
