Vol 1, No. 5  ~  November 5, 2004

La Cenerentola
Music by Gioacchino Rossini

Introduction

Treat yourself to Stage Director Vincent Liotta's charming and witty take on the classic Cinderella fairy tale, revealing the youthful romance between a dashing prince and an unlucky but beautiful maid determined to follow her heart. Enjoy Gioacchino Rossini's sparkling score performed by the IU Symphony Orchestra, under the musical direction of Maestro Imre Palló. You'll marvel at the lush scenery of IU's C. David Higgins and revel at the sound of the talented voices from the School of Music.

The antics of Cinderella's stepsisters and the chain of mistaken identities in this operatic spin on the traditional story are sure to have you laughing in your seat!
