Audition Dates 2007-08 

- October 5, 2007 (opening evening of Perspectives 1900)
- November 30, 2007 (opening evening of Nutcracker)
- January 11, 2008
- February 1, 2008
- February 29, 2008
- SATURDAY, March 22, 2008 at 4pm (closing evening of A Night at the Opera--At the Ballet)

About the Audition

• All auditions are on pointe.
  
• Each audition will last from 9:30am to 11:15am. On March 22, the audition will be from 4:00-5:30pm.
• All auditions are held in studio 305 in the Musical Arts Center and auditioners are asked to be at the studio no later than 9:00am. Check in time will be from 8:15am to 9:00am (check-in time on March 22 will be from 2:45-3:30pm).
• Dress code for audition: (females) any color leotard, pink tights, pointe shoes; (males) white t-shirt, black tights, ballet shoes.

What to Bring to the Audition

• Students are asked to bring a photo in first arabesque, headshot as well as a current resume with them to the audition.

Before Auditioning

• Students should contact the Jacobs School of Music Admissions Office at (812) 855-7998 or musicadm@indiana.edu for all application materials before auditioning.
• After completing and submitting both the IU General Admissions application and the Jacobs School of Music application, students should call the Ballet Department at (812) 855-6787 to reserve their audition date.

After the Audition

• There will be a question and answer session for auditioners and their families after each audition.
• Auditioners and their families are invited to watch majors' classes and rehearsals which occur throughout the day.
