Graduate Minor in Choral ConductingOverview of Graduate Programs at the Jacobs School of Music •The Graduate Minor in Choral Conducting consists of 12 credits, combining graduate courses in Choral Conducting Technique and Choral Literature. •Admission to the Minor in Choral Conducting occurs through a personal audition and interview. New students may audition during the regular audition dates. Students already enrolled and on campus may request an audition at any time during the academic year by arrangement with the Choral Department. •The combination and level of the classes composing the Minor in Choral Conducting will be determined by the Choral Conducting faculty in dialogue with student, upon the results of the audition and interview process. •A typical Choral Conducting Minor includes two classes in Choral Conducting Technique (G561, G562, G661,G662,G663,G664) and two Seminars in Choral Literature(M555, M565, M661, M662, M663, M664). •Choral Conducting Minors do not require a recital, but students may discuss opportunities for conducting recital segments in dialogue with the Choral Faculty, and if the recital needs of the Majors are covered.
