Opera Chorus

The Opera Choruses perform and take part exclusively in the operatic repertoire chosen by the IU Opera Theater. Students are typically assigned to two opera productions per semester.

PROSPECTIVE SINGERS PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION CAREFULLY:
Music Rehearsals: Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, from 4:00 to 5:30pm. Location: Auer Hall Greenroom (Opera Chorus A) and M361 (Opera Chorus B)
Stagings: Held from 4:00 to 6:00pm daily. The stagings are scheduled by the Opera Department and announced at the beginning of the semester. Therefore, students should keep their schedules open from 4:00 to 6:00pm daily until the extended rehearsal schedule is posted.
Dress-Rehearsals: Dress-rehearsals occur the week before the first performance of an opera according to the following schedule: Sunday from 2:00 - 6:00 pm and Monday through Thursday from 7:00 - 10:00 pm.
