Reading assignments have been indicated in the course outline.

Leo Treitler, Strunk’s Source Readings in Music History.  (Norton, 1998).

Course requirements and expectations:

2 in-class listening tests (25% each);

Midterm (25%); and

Final exam (25%)

                        Attendance at all lectures is mandatory.
