The pieces we will study are listed here by composer in the order in which we will discuss them. You may listen to each piece (1) by using a Music Library computer (or your own computer) to access the online recording through Variations2 or, (2) in the case of CDs, by checking out the CD on reserve and using a CD player.

The CD call number and the track number for each selection are links through which you can access Variations2.
Whether you listen to the CD or through Variations2, listen with the score. For each work, there is at least one score on reserve, and the call numbers or other information are given below. Scores on reserve may be found on the reserve shelves and checked out at the reserve desk. Call numbers beginning M3 indicate volumes from composers' collected works, which circulate for six hours and cannot be put on reserve; you will find them in the stacks on the first floor. There may be other copies in the stacks in addition to those listed here. Scores marked "[on Variations2]" are available online (though some may be too small to be useful).
For vocal works in languages other than English, there are handouts with the texts, translations, and sometimes other information. Be sure to listen with the translation of these works. You might listen to the music once with the translation, and once with score and translation.
