Definition:
A graph comparing the varying lengths of musical pulses in a
performance against a uniform metric unit, such as beats or
measures. The metric unit is a mean value determined by
dividing the total duration of the performed piece or segment
thereof by the number of metric units in the piece or segment. See Todd (1985).
