Music in General Studies is a program that seeks to make music an important and enriching aspect in the lives of students across the University. The course offerings cover a wide range of musical styles, cultures and eras, and are designed for students who have no formal musical background or training.

The Rock History Courses:

Courses on rock & pop music have been offered at the Indiana University since 1982. All of the rock-related courses are approved for COAS Arts & Humanities Distribution credit. Z103 and Z111 (below) are also approved for Distribution credit.
