Siegfried Palm is recognized throughout the world as one of the most important performers of contemporary music. Numerous composers of our time such as Ligeti or Penderecki have dedicated works to him and written concertos for him. In the course of his career he has been director of the Musikhochschule Köln as well as Artistic Director of the Deutsche Oper Berlin. In addition to his career as a soloist and chamber musician, S. Palm devotes much of his time to teaching young musicians in masterclasses all over the world.
