As the first step in preparing to take doctoral qualifying exams, you need to
submit the Request to Take Doctoral Written Qualifying Examinations form. It is available online here
and on paper in the Music Graduate Office.
Please fill out all of the information requested
in the form below, then submit it by clicking the submission button at the
bottom. Prof. Melamed,
Director of Graduate Studies, will reply by e-mail with information about your eligibility to
schedule each of your written qualifying exams; this can take up to a week.
Once you are eligible to schedule an exam, follow the procedure outlined
here.
