The winners of the Sixth Annual Competition in the Performance of Music from Spain and Latin America, which took place at Recital Hall on March 31st, 2003, are as follows:

Open category:

First prize:

Angelique Zuluaga, soprano

Second prize:

Rebekka Stoehr, mezzo-soprano

Special focus category (woodwinds):

Emiliy McFarlin, flute

Honorary mention for outstanding performance of
contemporary compositions:

Nythia Rivera, soprano

In addition to cash prizes, winners will perform in various concerts organized by the Spanish Resource Center within the United States.

We wish to thank all participants for their effort and enthusiasm,
and encourage our semi-finalists to participate once again
in next year's edition of the competition.
