American ethnomusicologist whose research activities include music from Colombia; Professor Emeritus (Folklore) and former Director (Archives of Traditional Music).
He is the author of Music and Poetry in a Colombian Village: A Tri-Cultural Heritage (Bloomington: Indiana University Press, 1983), whose Spanish translation featured in this exhibit was published in Colombia in 1994.
