Menahem Pressler  

German-born pianist who grew up in Israel and whose performances include music from Brazil and Spain; Dean Charles H. Webb Chair in Music and Distinguished Professor of Music (Piano).
His recording of Heitor Villa-Lobos’s Bachianas brasileiras No. 4 was released in an LP from the 1960s that also featured Joseph Battista’s interpretation of the 16 Cirandas by the same composer. Moreover, he is the founding member of the Beaux Arts Trio, which recorded trios by Enrique Granados and Joaquín Turina.
