Pravina Shukla  

Indian folklorist whose research activities include music from Brazil; Associate Professor (Folklore), Adjunct Faculty (India Studies Program and Center for Latin American and Caribbean Studies), and Associate Curator (Mathers Museum of World Cultures).
She is the co-author, with John H. McDowell, of Dancing the Ancestors: Carnival in South America (Bloomington: Indiana University, 2001), a catalogue that accompanied the exhibition, which they organized at the Matthers Museum of World Cultures between 2001 and 2002.
