Indiana University Opera Theater

The I.U. Opera Theater is world renowned for its outstanding facilities, number of full mainstage productions (eight per year) and one Early Music Institute work, successful alumni (18 this season alone on the roster of the Metropolitan Opera), and extraordinary faculty. Full productions are designed, built, rehearsed, and presented under the roof of the Musical Arts Center, and four orchestras accompany the works. Three faculty coaches and four graduate coaches help to prepare the singers and play for all rehearsals.

Training takes place with the guidance of IU's celebrated voice faculty, and performing opportunities include the undergraduate and graduate opera workshops, and Studio and Chamber Opera.
