and
Special Programs
The Jacobs School of Music offers a wide variety of year-round music programs for pre-college students. For information
and a registration form for the current semester please contact the
program director or follow the links to the left.
We
also offer pre-college summer academies and adult summer workshops.
Our summer programs provide an opportunity for emerging artists, undergraduate and graduate students, and instructors to immerse themselves in their chosen discipline for several days or weeks with some of the finest music educators in the country.
Offerings include pre-college courses: College Audition Preparation I and II, String Academy, Piano Academy and Percussion Academy, master classes with world-known performers; workshops in instruments ranging from clarinet to natural horn; and programs for instructors, such as Teaching High School Music Theory, Kodaly Summer Institute, Retreat for Professional and Violinists and Violists and Wind Band Conducting workshop.
