We're Always Looking for New Members!

Below are the current available SRC Officer and JSoM Committee positions. If you are interested or know anyone that would be interested in a position, contact somsrc@indiana.edu. Include your preferred method of contact and a little bit of background information. This will help us sort through candidates to create a ballot for electing personnel.

Nominations and Reccomendations are due by September 25th and Elections are scheduled for our next meeting on September 26th.

SRC Officer Positions

• Vice-President
  • The Vice-President's role in the SRC is to assist the President with all activities. This is a position that requires commitment to the SRC and all of its projects. In some cases, the Vice-President will have to take over some of the responsibilities of other officers or subcommittee leaders.
• Secretary
  • The Secretary is in charge of keeping track of the agenda and the minutes of each meeting. He or She will also assist in organizing files and documents for SRC Projects as well as publicizing meetings, events, and announcements.
• Treasurer
  • The Treasurer is directly linked to the SRC's funding through the University and is responsible for taking care of paperwork associated with the SRC's use of university funds. This person has to undergo a short training session with the Student Activities Office.

JSoM Committee Positions

• School of Music Council
  • 1 Undergraduate and 1 Graduate Representative
  • This is main governing group of the School. It meets Thursday mornings at 8:00 AM-9:00 AM in the Parsifal Room.
• Performance Coordinating Committee
  • 1 Student Representative
  • The PCC meets at 8:00 AM-9:00 AM Wednesday mornings in the Parsifal Room.
• Instructional Policy Committee
  • 1 Student Representative
  • The IPC meets at 10:15-11:30 AM Thursday mornings in either the Parsifal Room or the Merrill Hall Conference Room.
• Academic Fairness Committee
• 1 Undergraduate and 1 Graduate Representative
• This committee is a small group of five people who meet whenever there are relevant cases involving grade appeals or appeals about academic dishonesty cases.
