Summer 2009 Creative Movement Classes

Open to all children ages 3 to 6
Mondays & Wednesdays
July 6 - August 5, 2009
5:45-6:30pm

No audition is necessary.

Tuition: $180.00 (price includes a non-refundable $15.00 registration fee)

The Creative Movement Program is an informal “fun” program aimed at improving physical coordination and strength while fostering creativity and musicality. All Creative Movement classes are geared towards preparation for classical ballet training.

All Creative Movement students (new and returning) should register by mail no later than June 26, 2009.

Withdraw before 2nd class 100% Refund*
Withdraw before 3rd class 50% Refund*
Withdraw after 3rd class No Refund

*All refunds are subject to a $40.00 processing fee.

Summer 2009 Beginning Ballet Class

Open to all children ages 7 to 10
Mondays & Wednesdays
July 6 - August 5, 2009
6:30-7:30pm

No audition is necessary.

Tuition: $180.00(price includes a non-refundable $15.00 registration fee)

Beginning Ballet classes are for children who have had less than 2 years of formal ballet training. This class is appropriate for those students who are new to ballet as well as those who wish to gain strength and a greater understanding of the foundations and technique of classical ballet.

All Beginning Ballet students (new and returning) should register by mail no later than June 26, 2009.

The Pre-College Ballet Program does not offer financial aid or merit awards for summer classes. We apologize for this inconvenience.

Summer 2009 Dress Code

Creative Movement

Girls: Ballet shoes* (any color) are required. Leotard and tights (any color) or any other comfortable dance attire. Hair should be away from child’s face but does not have to be in a bun.

Boys: Black ballet shoes* are required. T-shirt (any color) and comfortable pants such as sweats or shorts.

Beginning Ballet

Girls: Pink ballet shoes*, pink tights, and pink leotard. Short ballet skirts may be worn. Hair must be pulled back away from child’s face— preferably in a bun; if your child’s hair is short, a headband is required.

Boys: Black ballet shoes*, white t-shirt, black shorts, sweatpants or leggings.

Intensive Sessions

Girls: Pink ballet shoes*, pink tights, any color leotard. Hair must be in a secure bun.

Boys: Black ballet shoes*, white t-shirt, black leggings or tights.

*Ballet shoes are best purchased at a dance store. They are made of leather or canvas. The required ballet shoes are not made of shiny material.
